The Windstar Foundation was founded in 1976 by singer/songwriter and environmentalist John Denver and aikido master Tom Crum.
The Connection program is an action-oriented global network of Windstar members who have accepted responsibility for improving the sustainability of the planet at a local level. Connections are chartered by the Windstar Foundation. |

About John Denver’s Windstar Foundation Windstar’s mission is to inspire individuals to make responsible choices and to take direct actions to achieve a peaceful and environmentally sustainable future. To that end, Windstar has made education a primary goal, developing the EARTHcamp program, among other projects. Windstar Connection Groups are formed by Windstar Foundation members working together on a local level to network and carry out projects and forums of an action-oriented, educational nature.
